Alesia + James’s gorgeous intimate Phuket Thailand wedding.
It was my immense privilege to travel all the way to Thailand to capture Alesia and James’s wedding. I always feel incredibly honored when fellow creatives trust me with their most meaningful moments. So, when Alesia, a wedding filmmaker, reached out about her destination wedding, I couldn’t wait to work with her. I just knew we’d hit it off, and we did!
What made James and Alesia’s intimate Phuket Thailand wedding especially unique was their focus on curating a truly memorable experience for themselves and their loved ones. This was about so much more than just the wedding day. So, they invited their closest family and friends and set about planning an unforgettable trip.
Arriving in Thailand a week before their wedding date, they spent their time soaking up all that Phuket has to offer. In the days before the wedding, we snorkeled, took boat rides, enjoyed the night market, and savored all the incredible local cuisine we could possibly eat! Then, on the eve of their wedding, Alesia and James hosted an all-white welcome party for their friends and family. Before the wedding even began, this group shared so many intentional moments and created lasting memories.
When the big day finally arrived, I was amazed by every thoughtfully selected detail. The venue, the Rosewood Hotel in Phuket, Thailand, beautifully fuses modern architecture with the lush greenery of Thailand. And the gorgeous florals, accented with pops of pink, purple, and white, added another layer of elegance. Ultimately, the seating chart may have been my favorite design moment of the day. The oversized sculpted flowers and intricate paper cranes took my breath away.
It’s no exaggeration to say every moment of this intimate Phuket Thailand wedding was unforgettable. From dining family-style on delicious Thai food to listening to the love-filled speeches of family and friends to dancing the night away under club lighting, these memories will surely be cherished for a lifetime. And as a wedding photographer from Los Angeles, California, witnessing Alesia and James’s union in such a gorgeous location truly spoke to my soul.
