The moment Hannah and Michael filled out my inquiry form for their Leavenworth Washington Elopement, I knew they were meant to be. We hopped on a zoom call (aka our virtual cocktail hour) and I was able to learn so much about them and their vision for their intimate day. Their excitement and energy when expressing the plans for their day was contagious. Watching them smile about each and every detail they had thought about was so sweet. I immediately knew this wedding was going to be one for the books. Let me tell you, it was beyond anything I could’ve anticipated.
In their answers on my form, there was a phrase that specifically stood out to me. They said they were looking for a “future-lifer friend.” I knew immediately I needed them in my life. There is no better feeling than having clients who genuinely love you as a person rather than just a vendor.
The entire time I worked with them, I only felt love and excitement! Being able to watch their day unfold was absolutely magical and to this day I am still so honored to have been trusted and invited into such an intimate gathering.
To begin their wedding day, we went on an early morning hike through the beautiful mountains. I had such a good time with them, chatting and romanticizing their day away. We talked about all the moments they had thought and planned for the morning of their wedding. How amazing is it that they invited me to go on such a beautiful hike with them first thing in the morning!! Of course I had to snap a few photos to document such a special start to their day.
When I arrived to their Leavenworth Washington Elopement venue, my jaw DROPPED. Their intimate venue overlooked the mountains and small town of Leavenworth (A Bavarian town), it was SOOO dreamy. The view was breathtaking and unforgettable, I could not have imagined a more beautiful space for a sweet, intimate wedding.
As the florist was finishing up the arch and the wedding planner was finalizing their tablescape, Hannah + Michael were putting on their finishing touches to finally see each other for their first look. With so much anticipation, Michael headed to the balcony to wait for his future wife. His reaction could not have been more sweet. Both Hannah and Michael were overflowing with an immense amount of emotions knowing this was finally it….they were getting MARRIED!!
Their ceremony was sweet, intimate, and full of tears (even from me). Attending was their closest family members embarking on this journey with Hannah and Michael. To watch their parents and siblings become emotional during their ceremony was so touching and it was In this moment I realized how blessed I was to be apart of such a beautiful day. As Hannah and Michael read their vows to each other, they expressed their love for one another, looked back on the journey they have been on, and vowed to one another a promised future together. They wiped each other’s tears and finally – they were one! It was an incredible ceremony to be cherished forever.
The rest of the night was full of celebration, amazing food, toasts, and dancing the night away in front of the beautiful mountain views. As I left, Hannah and Michael plus their whole family stopped everything they were doing to wave goodbye to me. As I was leaving, I knew I had just experienced a life changing event not only for my career but personal life.
This love translated so well into photos. Enough from me now, here is the real magic…
