A whole year after their engagement photos, I was able to capture Sarah and Joe’s rustic Half-Moon Bay Elopement. After meeting them last year, I just knew their wedding would be soul-filling.
Man, was I right!
Watching them get married, surrounded by their closest friends and family, set my heart on fire.
THE ONE WHERE SARAH AND JOE HAVE A RUSTIC HALF-MOON BAY ELOPEMENT
I was greeted by dark clouds as I arrived at their venue. I was honestly fully ready to embrace the weather. However, by the time their ceremony rolled around, the clouds parted. We got some beautiful sunshine, and it felt meant to be.
WEDDING DAY DETAILS
Sarah and Joe intentionally chose the springtime to get married because they loved the blooming wildflowers. For their first look, we followed a trail to a stunning meadow of lush grass and flowers. It was the most stunning setting for Sarah + Joe to finally see each other on their day.
This day could not have gone smoother. Between the weather clearing up and having all their loved ones altogether. The day was filled with laughter, tears of joy, and so much love.
Sarah + Joe spent the year thrifting the most intentional pieces for her tables! Everything from the plates and the goblets all of the way to the candle sticks. Everything was hand-chosen specifically for this day.
Sarah is an incredible artist and painted/designed their invites and other details of their day. Each detail was so intentionally chosen to reflect them and their story.
I can’t express how much I love this – way more than any trend. I dream of weddings that truly reflect my couple’s love for each other and the life they have created together.
Thank you Sarah and Joe for bringing me in like family, for trusting me, and for allowing me to document such an incredible day.
